Learn how to sculpt wool using a barbed needle. We will be making a little chick that fits into a wet felted egg. You will learn how to do both!

All materials are supplied. Ages 10+


What is Wet Felting?

Wet felting is a traditional textile art that transforms loose wool fibers into fabric using moisture, heat, and friction. Practiced for thousands of years globally, it primarily uses sheep’s wool, whose fibers interlock when agitated to form a dense, durable fabric.


The wet felting process begins with the selection of high-quality wool, typically in the form of roving or batts. Wool from different breeds can yield varying textures and qualities, allowing artists to choose fibers that suit their specific projects.
