About Hope Gardens
Every child deserves a safe and stable place to grow up. Yet in Los Angeles, many families are pushed into homelessness by economic hardship, health challenges, and trauma. The reality is deeply concerning—66% of families experiencing homelessness are led by single mothers, and more than 7,000 families in our city are without a secure place to call home.
That’s why we created Hope Gardens, a sanctuary nestled on 77 acres in the foothills of Sylmar, California. This transitional housing campus provides a safe and supportive environment for single women and children facing homelessness, along with permanent supportive housing for senior women at our Sequoia Lodge.
