About The Event

This is a 2 day workshop. You are registering for both days.

Day 1 is from 10am till 11am  -Cutting your wool

Day 2 will take about 4 hours.  How to wrap the wire and finish off the tree.

Kit includes:

  • Tree stand and base
  • Pre-cut Wire
  • Glue
  • Florist tape
  • Ribbon-Brown

We can schedule a separate time if you need additional help.

Repurpose old sweaters. Wool, cashmere scarves work great too. This takes lots of repetitive motion. All supplies are included except your fabric. We have pre-cut all the wire to save time.  Make sure the fabric has been washed, it will shrink which is GOOD!

Day1     We will go over cutting the wool strips and spend time doing it together.  10am till 11am

Day 2    The first hour I'll be showing you how to wrap your wires. We'll take a break to let you continue and come back to show how to put wires on to your tree. 10am till 2pm

What to have on hand

  • sharp scissors
  • desired piece to repurpose.   You will need the equivalent of 2 long scarves 60" by 6" of material. Each strip is 1 1/8 wide, the cuts are 1/8th leaving a 1/4 inch from the top. The top must be even. I can provide a sample. If you cut up a sweater they will be smaller strips but will work just as well. We can email samples if you would like to cut your wool prior to class.
