Twined Reed Basket with Becky Acosta

Learn to make this decorative basket from rattan reed.  This is a good beginner-level basket project.    You will learn basic spoke construction and a basketry technique called twining to make this basket.   You will also learn how to make simple patterns with colored reed to personalize your basket.   You will learn ways to give your basket shape.  You will finish by learning a technique to finish the rim.  Each basket made will be different and individual to the maker.   Basket sizes will average about 5-7" around and 4-6" tall.  If you took the previous class and would like a little extra help please feel free to join us.
