Intentional Acts of Beauty Create a Miracle/ Magical Box or Mini altar

This workshop will be continuing the theme of mindfulness set by Celeste in her previous “Random Acts of Stitching” with intentional acts of Beauty. For me recently a friend of a friend was struggling with a health issue, I and many others are praying for her but I wanted to send her something to lift her spirits. So I created a Miracle Box. I took a simple hinged box and covered it inside and out with beautiful, uplifting pictures and art. As I worked on it I kept imagining the recipient feeling the joy and care I put into the project and kept finding interesting quotes and wonderful pictures to add to the mix. I added in a small cloth angel and it felt complete.

Your box can be a miracle box for someone, or a magical box for the kid in you to play in, or maybe you would like to create a small altar ( not talking religion talking spirituality).

$45 Non members

$10 materials fee to be paid to Maureen at the workshop.

Meeting Schedule Coffee & Conversation: 9:30-10:00 AM Business Meeting: 10:00-10:45 AM Guest Lecture: 10:45 AM - 12:00 PM Lunch Break: 12:00-1:00 PM Workshop: 1:00-4:00 PM

Non-Members may attend morning meetings for a $10.00 fee – cash or check is accepted at the door.
