Ice Dyeing 101

Come bring your pre-washed plant based dyeables to play with. One bin will hold about 6 t-shirts. We will be working with basic primary colors. This workshop is an intro to the technique of ice dyeing. Make sure to have your mask on hand. You will be leaving your work over night. (24hrs) We will schedule your pick up time during class.

Some ideas-Old sheets, old pillow cases,  t-shirts, lace, vintage lace..anything plant based, cotton, hemp, silk. Synthetics will not dye with this process. If you have a cotton shirt with white synthetic stitching, the thread will remain white. this is a great process to make fabric for quilting.
