How to sew a pillow with a zipper.

Let’s make the next project on you sewing machine together. A 20 by 20 inch accent pillow with a zipper closure or a pocket closure. We will talk about seam finishes, lining and zipper feet. So gather your machines and feet and join us for a fun frolic at My Creative Outlet. All supplies can be easily found at local fabric stores or kits may be ordered ahead of time with instructor.

Must register by March 5th Ages 13 and up with some sewing machine knowledge.

WHAT TO BRING:

• A 18inch polyester zipper (like Coats and Clarks brand)
• 1 Yard of fabric, home decorator or quilting cotton, do no cut into 20 by 20 before class.
• 20”x 20” polyester fill pillow form/insert
• Your sewing machine with: thread and bobbin, new needle (universal or microtext in 70/10 or if fabric is thick 80/12) and zipper foot.
• A sewing tool kit would be helpful it might have: scissors, pins, fabric marking device (pen or chalk), seam ripper, tape measure

Adult & Youth Class Cancellation Policy

Sometimes our classes won’t fill their minimum and we will need to cancel. Most likely it could be the day before, and we will contact you as soon as possible. A full refund will be applied if the studio has to cancel a class.

What happens if I need to cancel?

Class fees are non-refundable. There is a 24 hour cancellation policy. If you cancel within the 24 hours before the class, you will forfeit your fee. If you alert us 24 hours or more before your scheduled class, we will gladly give you credit for a future class. This credit must be used within 90 days of the cancellation date to prevent loss of the registration fee.
