About The Event

Discover the art of Kinusaiga, a Japanese technique that transforms fabric into beautiful, textured artwork, without a single stitch. In this beginner friendly workshop, you'll learn how to cut, place, and tuck fabric into a foam substraight, creating a one-of-a-kind 5"X7" framed art piece to take home. Personalize your artwork with your choice of design templates, fabrics and frame colors.

Kinusaiga originated in Japan as a way to repurpose leftover kimono silk, transforming small pieces of fabric into intricate works of art. In keeping with that spirit of resourcefulness, this workshop incorporates sustainable sourced textiles gathered from creative reuse organizations, thrifted materials, and reclaimed fabrics. No sewing experience is necessary.

Whether you are a seasoned crafter or trying something new, you'll enjoy the satisfying rhythm of working section by section as your design comes to like. All materials and tools are included. If you have fabric scraps you'd like to…
